This is my old web page from WBS Chat...Sharon34.     I have chatted many other places since our room at WBS.. and nothing compares.    Great chats... Great people... many of us met in person...     I leave this web page still today to remember... People I've met from this chat room: December, 1996:   I met Rob (Zippo)

January, 1997: Patty and Donna (Bubbies & IWCC) came to visit with me and Foster Mom.  Ahhhh... remember having the swimming pool and hot tub to ourselves..... and when the town installed that new red-light.... I swear it wasn't there before!!! *G* **wondering if Patty's knuckles are still white** *LOL*

April, 1997: We went to West Virginia and met: Larry (Glenndale), Patty (bubbies), Mike (15North), Lynn (Durham Kitty), Julie (Jules), and Joann (Craftnut). West Virginia Pic  This is the meeting that gave Mike his handle... 15North. I wouldn't have missed this meeting for the world.   My fondest memory is when my son (8 years old at the time) fell in the reflecting pool.  He was soaked and cold with nothing to change into.  Mike gave him his white jacket.  That jacket dragged on the ground... I felt so bad that it was getting dirty.  We couldn't find a change of clothes.  Larry and I ran through malls trying to find something dry.    Larry and Mike.. you were so great to us.  I do hope that our paths will cross again someday!!

June, 1997: I met Fred31 and his family at Old Orchard Beach. OOB Pic A perfect day at the ocean. His girls were so adorable!!.  Anytime you come through again Fred... let me do.  I'd love to do it again!!!!

March, 1998: Plymouth, Mass. (small image) FINALLY got to meet Starr45!!!! We have been friends since the beginning of the Big People room.. back in September of 96.. First beautiful day of the year. We all met in Plymouth for lunch and a walk around the area to talk and get to know each other a little better. (Full Picture)

Not all my Internet friends are from North America. They are the ones I get to meet in real life. I met a man (through this web page!!) that lives in South Africa (Hi Paul!! *S*). We've been exchanging e-mails since. The Internet brings us all together. Issues that had never concerned me in the past, do now!  February, 1998: I accepted an invitation to fly to South Africa and meet Paul.  We had a fantastic 9 days together. We stayed at a log home in Knysna and explored the area.

That summer of 1998, I found out that Mr. Yankee Tom was a free man.  We spoke on the phone a few times and the next thing I knew, I was driving to Ohio.   Tom was the last person I met from the chat room.     I do still keep in touch with Paul, Patty and Pam.   I hope to keep in touch with with them all throughout our lives.  (What's up with the P's?) *g*  A Poem that Clyde gave to me...  ANONYMOUS POEM After awhile you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul, And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security, And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises, And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open, with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child.
